Thieving scrotes..

Postby R1CKSTER » Tue Jan 07, 2014 10:42 pm

hiya chaps happy new year...So far..Only just for me after last night. I caught two thieving chavs messing with my bike at 2am yesterday morning. Only due to the fortunate chance that night I couldn't sleep so got up and went to the other room to look outside and ponder some thoughts... Much to my horror I saw two chaps messing with my bike on my property. Despite being ground anchored front and rear..Alarm disc lock..Alarm and a couple other security features I could not believe what was happening. I banged on the window and ran out in rage holding a 2 foot steel builders spirit level. However in hindsight probably should have called the cops to catch them red handed..anyway cops came to my door within 5 minutes
..no fkn lie it was 5 minutes. Anyway only just have I worked out they were trying to steal my akrapovic.. So they know they're stuff. The left can was nearly all unscrewed at the hanger. The right untouched as this is the side I caught him on. Is there any way to secure these as just having 4 fkning visible bolts is asking for trouble and can be taken in no time. Easy eBay money for a thieving scrotes.. Any tips cheers. RIC

There are "thief proof" bolts, not sure if they would fit though
This type of thing

I was going to say that Jon.
That you could get security bolts for end cans to stop them just being unbolted.
Dont see why they couldnt be used on underseat cans.
Expensive for bolts but so are akras.

Awesome just bought a set. But steep but if it works it's save a fortune on new cans. Spoke to calsport and he said looks like the akrapovics take a 8mmx 40mm so them security bolts should work a dream

Haha no won't lose the key mate, although I was considering rounding off the bolts if I couldn't find lock nuts
