New here

Postby Flake32 » Mon Sep 23, 2013 5:16 pm

Hi all, i'm Gray and not only new on here but pretty new to bikes also. I have been riding since last November and I got my R125 the day after passing my CBT. I love bikes and being out on mine, furthest I've been on it so far is from Milton Keynes where I live to a friends house near Liverpool, took about 4 hours and I loved every second of it. Just a shame I wasn't on a faster bike hehe.

Came to this forum when it came up in a google search and thought it was about time I met some other bikers, especially guys/girls on sports bikes.

Here's a pic of my R125...

Hi Mick, cheers fella. Got it quick cheap aswell to be honest, cost me £1150 and the only problem I've had with it is when I crashed it a month or so ago and had to replace a few parts like the gear lever and a few fairings. Oh and had to buy a new helmet too as my head bounced off the road a few times.

I like your bike too by the way, I had an R1 scream past me the other day and the 10yo in me decided to try catch it up, failed miserably of course

Haha yeh never got close unfortunately, good to see its not just me :p

I still get a nice 'ha ha fuck you' kind of feeling when I over take an Audi, BMW or Merc when they are stuck in traffic at the lights or at a roundabout ;)

Welcome in mate, cool looking bike - planning on finding a white panel or leaving as a rat-look?
This is my bike. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life.

Hi Paul, cheers mate :) Am liking the look of your bike too fella :)

Yeh I've been planning on finding white panels for both sides of my bike cos I don't like the current panels anymore. Ideally I want the whole bike white and red but having 2 kids makes having the funds to replace the panels a bit difficult at the moment haha, especially as the cheapest I have found is just over £100 for a pair of white panels.

Might just leave it and spend money on my next bike after I pass my full bike test and get a bigger bike ;)
