Hi Guys,

Been on the lookout for a decent R1 forum for a while now and came across this place.

I've got a 2000 R1 as pictured below, had it a couple of years now and planning on rebuilding it completely next year.

We're planning on moving into a new house in December and this will be the first time I've had a proper garage where I can work on anything, so I'm planning to start with the R1.
I want to get a full paint job in the standard colours to start with, get the wheels refurbished and possibly rebuild the engine.
The bikes done 25k miles, but it's very clean, although the bottom fairings have a few chips. I just want to get the paintwork mint.
I've always wanted to do a full engine rebuild on a car or a bike, but never had the space so we'll see what happens next year with the R1.
