The wedding proposal

Postby Paul » Sat Mar 09, 2013 4:00 pm

Well, if youre going to do it, do it in style!

A BIKER'S marriage proposal in California has caught the attention of the state's police.

Last Sunday, Hector 'Tank' Martinez rode in convoy with over 100 other motorcyclists on a freeway 20 miles east of Los Angeles on what looked like nothing more than a large group ride.

However, the convoy spread across the freeway, meaning other traffic couldn't get past. As the convoy slowed to a halt, Martinez stopped and asked his girlfriend Paige Hernandez to dismount from the pillion seat. Following a burnout and an impromptu stunt show from one of the group, Martinez got down on one knee and proposed to Hernandez. She said yes.

The whole event was filmed and posted on Youtube which has alerted the California Highway Patrol who are investigating the incident. CHP Sgt. Kurt Stormes said: "You've got free-flowing traffic. Suddenly traffic comes to a stop and people don't know what happened, and that's when accidents happen."

We're not sure you'd get away with that on the M4.
This is my bike. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life.
Without me my bike is useless. Without my bike, I am useless.
